| DTACs 2006 net profit up 7% 8 February 2007 – 2006 was a dynamic year for the Thai telecom industry and mobile penetration is estimated to have exceeded 60%. Last year was a difficult year due to tough price competition but we managed to improve our position relatively well, both in terms of subscribers and revenues, said Chief Executive Officer Sigve Brekke. DTACs customer base is now at 12.2m, with 763,000 net additions in the fourth quarter bringing DTACs total net additions in 2006 to a record high 3.5 million. Service revenues for 2006 were 47 billion baht, an increase of 12% from 2005. EBITDA* was 17.8 billion baht, an increase of 8 % from last year, and Net profit increased 7% to 4.9 billion baht. At the end of 2006, the postpaid and prepaid customer bases were at 2.0 million and 10.2 million, respectively. During 2006, DTAC rolled out 1,155 new base stations, bringing the total digital cell sites on air to 7,203 at the end of 2006.
