DTN ready for 3G 2.1GHz auction and aims to provide the best network
DTAC Network Co., Ltd. (DTN), the bidding entity of Total Access Communication PLC. (dtac), said that it is ready to participate in the auction for 2.1 GHz spectrum, to be organized by the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) on October 16 and aims to provide the best possible 3G network for Thai consumers.
Mr. Jon Eddy Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of dtac and DTN, said DTN is now fully ready to participate in the 2.1 GHz auction and the company is now making preparations to provide the best possible 3G service to its customers and Thai consumers.
“We would like to commend the NBTC for organizing the auction and for closely following the announced timelines for the auction. We believe this historic auction will open new doors of opportunity for telecom services, marking a new milestone in the country’s telecom industry and bringing state-of-the-art communication technologies to consumers in Thailand. Thai people will have more choices and benefit from advanced services provided by the 2.1 GHz spectrum. On top of that, the new license regime, which is more universal than the concession regime, will help improve the playing field for all telecom service providers, which in return will benefit consumers and the whole nation,” Mr. Abdullah said.
